Donna Helene Lind 2018

Donna Helene Lind North Plainfield Mrs. Donna Helene Lind passed away Sunday September 30th, 2018 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. Born in Manhattan, NY to Donald and Myrtle Gent, Donna grew up in Binghamton, NY, and lived in Morris Plains and Hillsborough before settling in North Plainfield in 1979. Mrs. Lind retired from Rea & Associates in Clark after many years as a legal secretary. An active member of First Baptist Church in Westfield since 1984, she served on several committees, sang in the choir, and played handbells with the chancel ringers. An avid camper and accomplished seamstress and knitter, Mrs. Lind cherished nothing more than time spent with family and friends. Donna is survived by her husband of 44 years, Steven Lind; by their son, Scott Lind of Parsippany; by her parents Dr. Donald and Myrtle Gent of Hanover, PA; and by her siblings: Douglas Gent, Rebecca Becker, and Kathryn Gent of Hanover, PA and David Gent in York, PA. Friends and family will gather from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Wednesday October 3rd at the Memorial Funeral Home 155 South Avenue Fanwood, NJ 07023. A funeral service will begin at 10:30am Thursday in First Baptist Church of Westfield 170 Elm Street. Interment will take place in Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions in Mrs. Lind’s name to either the North Plainfield Rescue Squad 334 Somerset St, North Plainfield, NJ 07060 or to the Music Ministry of First Baptist Church-Westfield.
