Obituary of Dominic Belmont Belmont, Dominic R. age 81 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on September 29, 2018. Beloved husband of forty three years of the former Katherine “Kathie” Ball of Totowa. Loving Father of Melissa A. Miller of Ringwood and Michael Belmont of Hewitt. Dear grandfather of Suzanna Hoxholli, Courtney Hoxholli and Johnathan Hoxholli. Brother of Rosalyn Belmont of Little Falls. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson, then in Wayne before moving to Totowa thirty four years ago. He was a School Teacher for the Paterson Board of Education, School #5 for thirty years before retiring in 1999. Prior to that, he was a Paterson Police Officer for several years. Mr. Belmont was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War serving in a MASH Unit. He was an aide to former Senator Joseph Bubba. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Italian Club, Paterson. He was an avid golfer and was a golf coach at John F. Kennedy High School, Paterson. He cherished time spent with his family and his grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
