Danny Paul Rudash, Sr., 72, of Maidsville, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 7, 2018 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born August 8, 1946 in Morgantown, a son of the late George Rudash, and the late Louise Gajdosik Rudash Carlock. He was also a step-son of the late John Carlock. Survivors include his wife of 52 years and the love of his life, Margaret Darlene Riggleman Rudash; three children, Barb & husband Scott Wise of Morgantown, Dan & wife Jamie Rudash of Bridgeport, WV and Mike & wife Becky Rudash of Mt. Morris, PA; his grandchildren, Kelby, Micah, Noah, Sydney, Logan, Emma, Chloe, Dani, Ethan, Landon and Hayden; a great-grandchild, Kaiden; a step-brother, Mickey & wife Susan Carlock of Bridgeport; and a cousin who was more like a sister to him, Darlene Morris. In addition to his parents and step-father, he was preceded in death by his brothers Bill, Alvie and George Rudash. Danny was a coal miner for 22 years and served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a hard worker and caring and loving man who will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Friends may join the family to honor Danny’s life & legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Morgantown on Thursday, October 11th from 4-8 PM and again on Friday, October 12th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM, co-officiated by Pastors Titus Anderson and John Jackson. Danny will be laid to rest at East Oak Grove Cemetery, where Full Military Honors will be accorded at the graveside.
