OBITUARY Colin Phillips June 15, 1936 – October 2, 2018 Colin Gearsham Phillips went home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2018. He was born on June 15, 1936 in Hornersville, to Rev. Paul and Victoria Phillips, who preceded him in death. He was born and raised in the Baptist faith and attended Blodgett Baptist Church for most of his life. Colin was second oldest of five children. He is survived by a brother, Wayne Phillips of Arbyrd, MO, a sister, Lona Phillips of Perrin, TX, John (Judy) Phillips of Dayton, TX and Marida (Troy) Phelps of Whitesboro, TX. In November 1962, he married Mildred “Doris” Phillips who survives of the home. Colin was a jack-of-all trades. He could do anything he set his mind to including sewing and cooking. He was an avid woodworker and made beautiful furniture for friends and family, including the Sikeston Lambert’s Café. He held many jobs over the years and was a good friend to many. He never met a stranger. He is also survived by one daughter, Laura (Dwight) Krahn of Kennewick, WA and one grand-daughter, Sarah, who was very special to his heart, as well as a special niece, Diana Householder of Benton, MO. A memorial service is planned for a later date. Nunnelee Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
