Obituary for Clifford D. Case Clifford Case, 92, of Holts Summit, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Summit Villa. He was born on May 5, 1926, in Claysville, Missouri, to Clarence E. and Bertha (Nichols) Case. Clifford was united in marriage on June 3, 1946 to Evelyn V. Williams in Cedar City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on October 8, 2018. Clifford attended Cedar City Elementary School. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946. Upon returning from overseas, Clifford became a self-employed truck driver. He entered the Painters Local #1185 and worked for Level Painting in Columbia and Brady’s Paint and Glass until his retirement in 1987. Clifford was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge AF & AM No 43 and a past member of the Moolah Shriners. He enjoyed camping, fishing and mowing with his John Deere tractor. Clifford and Evelyn were past members of the Circle Bob Square Dance Club. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with family, especially the grandchildren. Clifford is survived by his children: Douglas (Susan) Case of Hartsburg and Diane Lindsay of Jefferson City; special daughter-in-law: Susie Case of Holts Summit; sister: Jean Nichols; grandchildren: Lesley (Jason) Miles, Nolan (Jessica) Hildebrand, Seth (Sarah) Hildebrand, Cody (Andria) Case, Blair (Jesse) McGill, Paul (Carla) Case, Pete (Becca) Kint; eleven great-grandchildren: Jordan (Jessica) Borst, Morgan Miles, Andrew, Mikayla, Maegan, Ashton and Conlan Hildebrand, Kingston and McKinley McGill, Brody and Leo Dugan Case. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Clarence “Shorty” Case (Bertha), James Robert Case, Harold “Coffee” Case, Dorothy Coots, Bonnie Hickman, Lillis Eickhoff, Clarence “Nick” Case and Betty Jo Hayden. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with Rev. Dusty Klein officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
