Obituary for Christine Marie Hill Christine Pitts Hill of Bridgeton, New Jersey departed this life on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the age of 76 at Inspira Medical Center Vineland. Christine was born April 2, 1942 and was the second of seven children born to Chouncey and Sophronia Pitts of Bridgeton. Christine attended Salem public schools and was a graduate of Philadelphia Career & Finishing School Professional Modeling Course. In addition she received a certificate for PBX Receptionist Course in Philadelphia. Christine was employed by CBS Records, Kerr Glass and Progresso Soups before retiring. Upon retiring she enjoyed traveling, dancing, bingo, going to the casinos and doing crossword puzzles. Christine really enjoyed family and would attend as many functions as she could. Christine leaves to mourn her Mother, Sophronia Pitts of Vineland, Sister Ruby Long (Stanley) of Hayward, CA., two brothers Carl Pitts (Betty) and Richard Pitts (Gertrude) of Vineland. Three Aunts, Marcie, Bear, Delaware, Sarah and Dorothy Pitts both of Bridgeton, N.J. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins, many friends. Christine was preceded in death by her father and siblings Bernard, Chouncey and Marvin. One thing, not to be forgotten, Christine really enjoyed wearing her Cowboy Hats! She was known as the “Cowboy Hat Lady” if you didn’t know her name, just give the description of the hat and they knew you meant Christine. The Pitts Family would like to thank all of the staff of the Inspira Medical Center, especially the Intensive Care and the Cardiac Acute teams. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
