Chester Russell Giffin Sr. Chester Russell Giffin Sr., 75, of Bellaire, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. He was born on July 27, 1943, in Bellaire a son of the late, Paul and Beatrice (Althar) Giffin. Chester was a member of the Rock Hill Presbyterian Church, was a retired Iron worker of Local 549 and was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda J. (Leonard) Giffin; 3 children, Kristie (Jason) Barnes, Chester R. Giffin Jr.; Stephen Giffin and a son-in-law, Todd Medicus all of Bellaire; 2 brothers, Paul (Emma) Giffin Jr. and Glen (Emma) Giffin; a sister, Carol (Don) Carman; 7 grandchildren, Zachary and Alexandra Barnes, Noah, Bryton, Brady, Isabelle and Logan Giffin and 2 great grandchildren, Jeremiah Wallace and Alannah Olack. Chester was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Chester was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kimberly Medicus and a sister, Miriam Kinney. Friends may call Monday, October 29, from 4-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd, Bridgeport. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 am in the funeral home with Reverend David Demarest officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery.
