Catherine Kitty Riley 1933 2018

Obituary for Catherine “Kitty” Riley (Daly) Catherine J. “Kitty” Riley (Daly) a longtime of Waban, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of William J. Riley, and loving mother of Maureen B. Riley of Hull, Patricia A. Boyle and her husband Charles of Stow, Margaret A. McDonald and her husband David of Watertown, William J. Riley, Jr. and his partner Dawn Stapleton of Charlestown, and James P. Riley of Newton Highlands. Dear sister of Margaret Dahill of Concord and the late Eleanor Daly and Mary Byrne. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren. Mrs. Riley was a graduate of Lesley College, and worked as a first-grade teacher in both the Lexington and Newton Public Schools for 30 years. She was an active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Philip Neri Parish in Waban. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Friday, November 2, at 10:30AM in Sacred Heart Parish, 1321 Centre St., Newton Centre followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. Visiting hours will be Thursday evening from 4-7PM at the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St. Wellesley. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Riley’s memory may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association at Alz.org.
