Carol Mae Shaw Higley I, Carol Mae Shaw Higley passed away at the age of 86 on October 26, 2018 in Clinton, Utah. I was born January 12, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The daughter of Samuel and Ethel (Snow) Shaw. I married Glen Lee Higley on April 19, 1948. Later it was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. The greatest blessing in my life was raising my children. I was always busy driving them to meetings, ball games, scouts, fishing, and dancing lessons. I served in the auxiliaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In one paragraph of my patriarchal blessing it says “He honored you by giving you some of his choicest spirits to come forth in this day” Nothing surpasses being a Mom. I have a strong testimony of the Gospel. I have read the scriptures diligently. My favorite hobby is to travel and see the beauty on this earth. I have been blessed with the opportunity to see many beautiful and interesting places and people. I have seen every state in America. I have visited Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and many of the Islands of the sea. I am survived by 6 children and 4 wonderful daughters- in-law, who are great mothers and wives. Sons: Glen Lee (Jill) Higley Jr., Clinton, Dennis R (Vickie) Higley, Midway, Kevin D (Cherie) Higley, West Point, Douglas B (Diana) Higley, Preston, Id, and Randy J Higley Downey Id. One loving daughter Leslie G Higley of Logan, Utah. By 33 grandchildren and 79 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. One brother David (Deb) Shaw, Elko, Nev. All of whom I love dearly”. I was preceded in death by my husband, Glen Lee Higley Sr., one daughter Debra Lynn Allred, 5 grandchildren Scott, Donald, Mike, Penny, and Jenny, my parents, my sisters Colleen, Nancy, and Francell. The family would like to thank those who gave loving care at Country Pines and from Symbii Hospice. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 4, 2018 6-8 PM and prior to the services 9:45-10:45 AM at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W Roy, Utah.
