Carole A. Pautz, of Manitowoc, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was 79 years old. Carole was born November 10, 1938 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Lawrence and Marie (nee Wettstein) Hochrein. After high school Carole went on to earn her Bachelors Degree from Silver Lake College and later her Masters Degree from Cardinal Stritch. For many years, Carole was involved with Sheboygan County Big Brothers, Big Sisters and cherished the relationship she developed with Kim. Carole loved traveling, spending time with friends, reading, knitting and taking care of her grandchildren. Carole is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Angie) Pautz of Muscatine, IA and Michael (Lori) Pautz of Howards Grove. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Joshua, Hannah, Alex and Ian Pautz, Dylan Corbeil and Zoe and Emily Pautz; 3 sisters: Virginia (Will) Boneck, Ruth Ann Fritz and Nancy (Mike) Vollmer; 2 brothers: Claude (Marilyn) Hochrein and Wayne (Pam) Hochrein; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
