OBITUARY Carol Higgins December 24, 1937 – October 22, 2018 Carol Higgins, 80, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. Born on Christmas Eve in 1937, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Dowling) Higgins. She worked for Konica Minolta for more than 50 years. Carol will be forever missed by her beloved lifelong companion, William Lorge; her nephew, Robert Ulrich and wife Linda; her great-niece and great-nephew Elizabeth Motes, Dave Motes and wife Amy, and their children. She was predeceased by all four of her siblings, Oliver and Jackie Higgins, Norine Ulrich and Mary Chiarizio. Calling hours are Saturday (October 27) from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. concluding with a funeral service at 12 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will be private. Donations in Carol’s memory may be made to Hartford Hospital Palliative Care, C/O Fund Development, 80 Seymour St., Hartford, CT 06102.
