Obituary for Blanca Lidia Collazo Blanca Lidia Collazo (Santiago), 85, of Trenton has been accepted into God’s loving embrace on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at St. Francis hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on April 8, 1933. Mrs. Collazo came to the area over 60 years ago and began factory work at Circle F Manufacturing Company and Switlik Parachute Company in Trenton. She met the love of her life, Vicente Collazo who worked for the City of Trenton. Once he retired, they moved back to their hometown of Utuado. Missing family and lifelong friends, they came back to Trenton 9 years ago. Mrs. Collazo enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing Bingo and taking trips to Atlantic City to play the slots. She also attended Life at St. Francis. She was a long-time parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption. Mrs. Collazo is predeceased by her parents; Emilio and Paula (Lamberty) Santiago; her beloved husband, Vicente Collazo and infant son, Jose Collazo; and siblings: Amelia, Ismael, Jose, and Miguel Gonzalez. Left to cherish her wonderful memory are her loving children; Angel E. Santiago (Rita); Carmen “Daisy” Santiago, Ana “Lydia” Hernandez (Mariano), Brunilda Santiago, and Evelyn Collazo (Aderson); caring siblings: Carmen Santiago and Jose. E. Santiago (Ana) from Puerto Rico; grandchildren: Angel E. Santiago Jr, Josué Santiago (Leslie), Orlando Garcia (Kimberly), Carlos Garcia, Jessica Reyes (Alexie), Mariano Hernandez Jr. (Jayramar), Lesley Hernandez (Luis), Sairé Montero-Santiago (Ofelio), Litza Reyes (Armel), Yajaira Rivera (Luis), Chastidy Santiago (José), Celestina Mendez (Shannon) and Zorayda Santiago (Gilberto) as well as 34 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, nieces nephews, cousins and other relatives. Funeral Service will be held Monday; October 29, 2018, 10:00am at the Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 South Broad Street (Rte 206), Trenton NJ 08611 (parking facility and handicap access located directly behind the funeral home). Visiting hours will be held Sunday; October 28, 2018 from 6:00pm-9:00pm and Monday morning from 9:00am-10:00am at the funeral home. Interment: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
