Obituary for Betty S. Polen Betty S. Polen, 82, of St. Albans passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington after a short illness. She was born in St. Albans to the late Cecil W. and Harriette Evelyn King Sanson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ves Polen; sons, Gregory and Michael Polen; brothers, Cecil Eugene “Buck” Sanson and William H. “Billy” Sanson. She was a homemaker and a Christian. Surviving are her loving children, Deborah White (Joe) of Charleston; son, Vesselin Polen (Barbara) of St. Albans; brother Richard Sanson of St. Albans. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Steven, Timothy, Seth, Rezja, Beki, Kristen, Kilian and 11 great grandchildren, Hailey, Nicholas, Anna, Kaden, Gracelyn, Thomas, Layla, Gideon, Jaxon, Mac, Oak and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with Pastor Mike Jarrett officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
