OBITUARY James Noel Grady January 7, 1952 – September 28, 2018 James Noel Grady was born to Raymon and Dorothy Grady in Shreveport, LA. He went to be with his Lord September 28, 2018 in Shreveport. Mr. Grady’s father was enlisted in the USAF so Jim saw many places around the world. At age 12 he was out shopping with his mom and he wanted to use his money on an unusual item, a string of pearls. His mother thought how sweet. She asked why do you want beads? And he proudly said I’m going to give them to my future wife so she can wear them going up the isle to be married. She still has those today and is probably wearing them today. They were married on May 12th, 1967. Mr. Grady served in the United States Marines. Mr. Grady was a Tool and Die Maker by trade, working for Western Electric. They moved to the West Bank of New Orleans, “Jefferson Parish”. Both his daughters were born there. He returned home to Shreveport after working for Union Carbide. He then made his family complete with a son in 1977. Mr. Grady is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara; his father, Raymon; daughters, Kimberly and Michelle; son Mike and his wife Cara; grandchildren, Steph, Savanna, Rocky, Angel, and Sarah. Mr. Grady always protected his family and 51 years later the family has grown and is truly blessed.
