William Jones August 23 1930 August 20 2018 (age 87)

JONES, Mr. William, 87, of Dayton, born in Circleville, OH, transition to be with the Lord Monday, August 20, 2018 at 3:21 pm at home with his loving wife of 49 years, Gloria, by his side and his grandchildren, Monique Miller, Dareona (Juelz “BooBoo”) Acker, Dareon Acker, Mercedes Jones, and Grerrone Allen. Mr. William was married to Gloria Jones on May 13, 1969. “Papa” served in the Air Force for 30 years, then, worked and retired at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter Jones Sr., and Pauline Hazelwood; daughter, Adline Acker; great grandson, Cameo Pierre Smith; sisters, Wonda and Betty Jones, Loretta Philfer, Phyllis Walker; brothers, Walter and Bobby Jones, Paul Hill; brother-in-law, Bill (Annie) Dixon. Papa raised four of his grandchildren, Monique, Kordan, Dareona, Dareon and one great granddaughter, Juelz. He leaves behind his loving wife, Gloria Jones; sisters, Charlotte Hill, Melinda Fisher; brothers, Kenny (Diane) Jones, Gary Philfer, Hermon (Linda) Dixon; children, Gwendolyn, Constance, Cynthia, Willie, Winnifred; 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Papa also leaves behind a very best friend, Shawn Miller Sr. The family of Mr. William Jones would like to say a special thank you to Monique Miller, Dareona Acker, Gwen, Kordan Acker, Dareon Acker, the V. A. Hospital, Crossroad Hospice and Palliative Care, Mercedes Jones, Princess Dixon, Tiffany Bass and family, Shawn Miller Sr., Pastor Beverly Lee, Mark Bass Sr., and Mrs. Melanie Marshall.
