Mr. William James Dollison, known to so many as “Country” transitioned from his long devoted Patriarch life on Saturday, August 25, 2018, in Jackson, MS. Born in Monticello, Mississippi on November 10, 1916, William was the 3rd child born to the late Willie and Alice Evans Dollison Brown. William, attended school in Lawrence County, He was an Army Veteran and served in WWII, William joined Oak Grove at an early age, he became a member of New Bethel AME Church until he became disabled and was not able to live alone. William had no children but was adopted in his 90’s by a loving couple, Willie and Rosie Bright where he thrived for many years under their devoted care and unconditional love. Visitation hours have been for Friday, August 31, 2018, between the hours of 12-7 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home, located at 886 N. Farish Street. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel AME Church located at 2202 Decatur Street – Jackson, MS 39203.
