Wayne Dale Peterson age 67 of Venice, FL and formerly of the Kewadin, MI area passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his home. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Wayne was born in Traverse City, MI, on December 21, 1950, the son of Robert and Luella (Hubbel) Peterson. Wayne resided most of his life in Venice, FL. Wayne was an old car enthusiast. He was working on restoring a 1935 Ford pickup. He loved being with people and loved his line of work. Wayne was very gifted at remodeling. His family was very important to him. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Army in the White Coats which was an experimental group. Wayne is survived by his sister Diane and Randy Bellon of Traverse City, MI; sister Pam and Dr. Don Prouty of Ithaca, MI; special niece Tanya Hankins of Kewadin, MI; 7 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews; Florida mothers: Lori Anthony and Anna Mae Myers; and many extended family members and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brother Daniel Peterson, and his nephew Robert Hankins Jr. Memorials may be made to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
