Obituary for Wanda M. Rauert Wanda M. Rauert, went to her Heavenly home on her 95th birthday, Sunday, August 19, 2018. Service will be 11 AM Wednesday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Reverend Edgar L. Schambach, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM till service time on Wednesday at the church. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Wanda was born August 19, 1923 at Bostwick, Nebraska the daughter of William and Frieda (Pollock) Nunnenkamp. As a child she moved to Cairo, Nebraska, graduating from Cairo High School. She then graduated from the Beauty School of Cosmetology. On October 3, 1943 she was united in marriage to Elmer Rauert. They lived their entire life on a farm northwest of Grand Island. To this union two children were born, Gary and Diane. Wanda was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, was chairman of funeral dinners for 15 years, enjoyed bowling, playing cards, dancing and being a member of the Merry Ladies Extension Club. During her quiet time, she crocheted nonstop. Everyone knew of her beautiful work. Her love of life was being with her family. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Diane (Dale) Semm; daughter-in-law, Pat Janulewicz; grandchildren, Dawn Peard and Dana Adams; great-grandchildren, Shayla Peard, Kaitlin Adams, and Chase Adams; two brothers, Wayne and William (Pat) Nunnenkamp; sisters-in-law, Norma Nunnenkamp and Esther Rosacker and brother-in-law, Ralph (Wava) Rauert. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Elmer in June 1993, son-Gary in November 1974, brothers-Hollie (Rena), Lloyd (Leona), Glen (Betty), Roger, sister-Eva (Martin) Nelson, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Irma (Victor) Bosselman, Alvera (Charlie) Baasch, Edna (Fred) Boltz, Lucille (Ray) Thesenvitz and Art Rauert.
