Wanda Lee Griffin Barnard Gannon, 70, of Hopkinsville died Friday afternoon August 10, 2018 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Joe Bufford and Rev. Adam Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.… Read More » A native of Evansville, IN she was born August 7, 1948 the daughter of the late Kermit Irving Griffin and Sophia Carter Nicholson. She worked in the cafeteria at Jennie Stuart Medical Center before transferring to Housekeeping Environmental Services. She also had worked at the Flying J, Western State Hospital, A.W. Watts Senior Center, and as a private sitter in people’s homes. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered with the American Red Cross Disaster Relief. She was an avid Bowler who participated in the senior bowling league. Survivors include her children: Victoria Barnard (Nick) Arispe of Madisonville, Cynthia Dawn “Cindy” Barnard Killebrew of Hopkinsville, Tina Gannon Stroll of Hopkinsville, Michelle Gannon Offout of Madisonville, and James Edward “Jimmy” Gannon, Jr. of Madisonville; her siblings: Jeff Nicholson of Michigan, Raymond Nicholson of Virginia, Mike Nicholson, Linda Gail Griffin Morrison and Gary Griffin both of Michigan; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
