Hester Virginia (McCrory) Of Upper St. Clair, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Charles Hester; loving mother of Jean and Chuck (Stephanie) Hester; grandmother of Elizabeth Callaway, Sarah HesterSharp and Britini Hester; great-grandmother of Connor and Paige Callaway; sister of William McCrory, the late Jeff McCrory and the late Terrell McCrory. A native of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Virginia and her husband Charles lived in Pittsburgh for more than 45 years. She served as President of the Mayview Hospital Volunteers from 1974-1982. She was appointed to the Mayview Board of Trustees by the Governor of Pennsylvania in 1980 and received the Award for Volunteering Excellence as Outstanding Volunteer for the State of Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Rd., Bethel Park, PA 15102. Arrangements handled by PAUL L.
