Obituary for Ms. Vinera Ann DeLena DeLena – Vinera Ann DeLena, age 91, of Atlantic Beach, Florida passed away August 27, 2018 at her home. She was born in South Carolina on November 9, 1926 to the late Weston Floyd and Anna Sauls Floyd. Vinera moved from California to Atlantic Beach in 1962. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Atlantic Beach. She loved her church family. She also enjoyed gardening, crafts and crocheting. Vinera is predeceased by her parents; husband of 66 years, Louis DeLena; brother, Clary Floyd; sisters, Rowena Richardson, JoAnna Coker, and Sandra Jean Riddle. Vinera is survived by her children, Roseanna DeLena, Carolyn DeLena, Katrina DeLena, Jennifer “Jenny” Gilchrist all of Jacksonville, FL, Louis (Michael Gaspard) DeLena of Winnie, TX, Mitchell (Christine) DeLena of Kileen, TX, and Victor DeLena of Atlantic Beach, FL; sister, Gail (Harry) Weber of Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Courtney (Zach) Tatem, Ashley (John) Dechman, Amber (Weston) Newton, Scotty DeLena, Michael (Christina) DeLena; and 13 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Vinera’s Life will be held Friday, August 31, 2018 at 12:00 pm at First Baptist of Atlantic Beach, 1050 Mayport Road with Pastor Greg Crocker officiating. Interment will follow at Beaches Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.
