Verna Ellen Holbrook, age 77, of West Milton, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born March 7, 1941 to the late Caleb & Edith (Walls) Lawson in Nevisdale, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Curtis Estell Holbrook in 2017 and siblings Kenneth Lawson, Wayne Lawson, Elsie Shelton, Joyce Lawson, Roger Lawson, Russell Lawson and Sharon Lawson Brandsteider. She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Terry (Clint) Dillon of New Carlisle, Denise (Lance) Paden of West Milton, Jerry Holbrook of Greenville, and Judy (David) Sterling of Noblesville, IN; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and siblings Jim (Bonnie) Lawson and Patricia Wyatt. Verna was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Crestview Baptist Church, 6600 Salem Ave, Clayton, OH 45315 with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crestview Baptist Church. Online memories of Verna may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
