VERA JEAN BREWER, 83, of Springfield, passed away at Arbors of Springfield on Thursday afternoon, August 23, 2018, following several years of failing health. She was born at home in Quincy, Ohio on April 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Stewart) Standard. Vera Jean was a 1955 graduate of Springfield High School. She retired from Kelsey Hayes SPECO Division following 30 years of service. She was a long-time member of Maiden Lane Church of God. She is survived by two nieces and their spouses, Dea and Jim Mihaly of Fairborn and Kim and Wayne Bryant of Florida; a grandson, Jon Brewer; great nephew, Jacob (Brittany) Gullett; and great niece, Heather (Jeremy) Leifheit. Pastor Dan Fiorini will preside at a graveside funeral service which will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in Ferncliff Cemetery. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Clark Memorial Home and Arbors of Springfield for their dedicated care.
