BARBERTON—V. Joyce Kowalewski, (nee McFarlin), 86, passed away peacefully at her residence on August 30, 2018. Joyce was born in Sharon Center and was a Barberton resident most of her life. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, VFW Post 1066 Ladies Auxiliary, P.L.A.V Post 32 Ladies Auxiliary and the Barberton Active Adult Center. Preceded in death by her husband Anthony; and son-in-law Joe Henke; She is survived by her daughter Marie Henke; sons Michael, Stanley (Joyce) and Anthony; grandchildren Ryan and Justine Kowalewski; three great-grandchildren; and her best friend and faithful dog “Rocky”. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Fr. Robert Jackson, celebrant. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling Hours Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton.
