Obituary of Thomas Dustin Thomas P. Dustin, 74, formerly of Jamestown and Celoron, passed away Tuesday August 28, 2018 in the Lutheran Retirement Home. He was born April 5, 1944 in Corry, PA the son of the late Franklin C. and Elsie Clark Dustin. Tom was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School. He went right to work at the Chautauqua County Highway Department where he was a truck driver, dispatcher, and operator of the Bemus Point Stow Ferry, retiring in 2005. Tom was a member of the Lakewood Kiwanis Club and former member of the Celoron Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing and motorcycle riding. Surviving are his wife, Susan Winzell Dustin whom he married May 20, 1995; three daughters: Tammy Nelson (Fiance Roger Mighells) of Falconer; Terri (TJ) Hodges of Shelby, MI; Tina (Scott) Doud of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three step children: Laura (John) Knight of Jamestown; Holly Gardner (Tamas Chlumetzky) of Portland, OR; James H. (Chandra) Gardner of Santa Cruz, CA; and six step grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Franklin C. “Lynn” Dustin Jr., and Daniel R. “Dusty” Dustin. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. At 4 p.m., there will be a time of sharing a favorite memory of Tom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Celoron Hose Co. No. 1, PO Box 328, Celoron, NY 14720-0328; or the Kiwanis Club of Lakewood, PO Box 263, Lakewood, NY 14750.
