OBITUARY Thomas Romaine SEARCY February 18, 1939 – August 30, 2018 Thomas Romaine Searcy of Harpersville, Alabama, lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer with his family by his side. He was born in Talladega, Alabama, on February 18, 1939 to Dorothy Vaughn Searcy and Patrick Roland Searcy, Jr. Romaine graduated from Shades Valley High School and retired from the Homewood Fire Department. He loved his Creator and was a member of First Baptist Church of Harpersville. Romaine is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Genevieve Marie Cash; children, Kimberly Lynn Searcy, Victoria Searcy Barry (Samuel Barry), and Julie Searcy Holcombe (Chad Holcombe); grandchildren, Jesse Romaine and Lillie Marie Searcy, Ryan Christopher and Emily Elizabeth Barry, and Courtney Marie and James Christopher Holcombe; sister, Edna Faye Searcy Watkins; and niece, Stacy Watkins Fulgham. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Brother Larry Roberts will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please make donations to First Baptist Church of Harpersville or a Cancer Charity of your choice in Thomas Romaine Searcy’s memory.
