Therese Marie “Terrie Staller 2018

Therese Marie “Terrie” Staller, 56, passed unexpectedly at her home, on Sunday July 29, 2018. Born on November 30, 1961, in Janesville, WI, to Lawrence and Mary (Mawhinney) Staller. Terrie graduated from Parker High School in 1980. She then attended Madison Area Technical College, where she received a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance. She went on to obtain her state certification and practiced at various facilities in Wisconsin, including Tomah Rehabilitation Center, and was currently employed by the School District of Beloit. She spent her career passionately serving those who needed her skills most, including veterans, individuals with developmental disabilities, clients with traumatic brain injuries, and students with special needs. Terrie enjoyed spending time with her family, and was known by her nieces and nephews, whom she adored, as “Aunt T.” Terrie also enjoyed her crafts: needlecrafts, Ukrainian egg decorating, and stained glass work. She was a puzzle and game enthusiast, enjoying board games, video games, word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Terrie was known to experiment with recipes and you never knew what dish she was going to show up with at the next event. Terrie is survived by her mother, Mary; 2 brothers, Jonathan (Karen) Staller of McHenry, IL. and Christopher (Sarah) Staller of Janesville; 3 sisters, Lauraine (William) VanderJagt and Julie (Paul) Parker, both of Janesville, and Kathleen (John) Horvath of Beloit; 10 nieces and nephews: Lisa, Adam, and Mark (Megan) VanderJagt, Matthew (Tiffany Herzog) and Nathan (April Emmert) Staller, and Samantha (Brett) Marcum, Rebecca, Colin, and Sarah Parker, and Owen Staller; 2 great nieces and a great nephew; long-time dear friend, Janet Hainstock, of Watertown; and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Larry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH with Fr. Jim Leeser officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family will use all memorial contributions to continue the love and support she provided for those in need.
