Obituary for Terence “Terry” Gill Terence “Terry” Gill, 84, of Howard passed away on August 25, 2018. Terry was a native of Colorado. Born on June 29, 1934 in Salida to Jack and Geraldine Gill. Terry graduated from Salida High School in 1953. He entered the United States Marine Corps in 1953 and served in Korea and Japan being honorably discharged in 1956. Terry married June (Ray) Gill of Howard in December of 1956. He worked for Lockheed Martin Company for 31 years in Denver, retiring in 1991 and returned to Howard. He had been an Elk Member of the Salida Lodge for 61 years. After retirement, Terry & June traveled in the winter months and enjoyed the summer months in Howard. On June 21, 2014 the red caboose that rests at the base of Tenderfoot Mountain was gifted to the city of Salida by Terry and his family. For the past 11 years Terry and his wife have enjoyed spending the winters in Canon City at the Royal Gorge Manor. Terry is survived by his beloved wife, June, of 62 years, one son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Inge Gill of Littleton and one grandson and his wife, Chad and Katie Gill of Shreveport, LA. Terry will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. At his request, no services will be held. Burial will be in the family plot at Fairview Cemetery in Salida.
