Born September 23, 1975, in San Pedro, California. Passed on July 26, 2018, in Torrance California. She is survived by her mother, Debbie Lobato Taylor (Casa Grande, AZ); father, Danny A. Vasquez (San Pedro/Carson, CA); son, Adrian Rodriguez (San Pedro, CA); her brothers, Joseph M. Delmazzo (Stacy), Jason A. Vasquez (Marta) and C.J. Taylor; stepmother, Debra J. Vasquez; stepfather, Clif Taylor; grandparents, Alonso and Anita Lobato (Perris, CA) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Sonya lived in San Pedro for the majority of her life, but also lived in Tucson, AZ and Ontario, CA. She graduated from Chino High School in 1994 and worked as a massage therapist, associate health care worker, and an ILWU Local 13 casual. In lieu of flowers – Sonya’s wish was for donations to the American Liver Foundation. The rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at Mary Star of the Sea Church on Thursday, August 2, 2018. Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.
