OBITUARY Shawn Lee Snell March 17, 1968 – August 27, 2018 Shawn Lee Snell Indian Island—Shawn Lee Snell, 50, died August 27, 2018 at his residence following a long battle with chronic illness that began in the early 2000s. He was born in Bangor a son of Gary Lee Snell and Theresa Nan Sapiel. Shawn worked for several years at American Concrete. He was a avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan, enjoyed spending time with family and enjoyed cookouts. Shawn is survived by his daughter Sarah Mae Snell; two brothers Steven and Sheldon Snell; sister Shannon Snell; aunt and uncle David and Sue Sapiel; step father John Bartlett; and God parents Mark Stevens and Ava (Ranco) Clavette. Shawn was predeceased by his mother Theresa “Nan” Sapiel Bartlett; daughter Keshea Thereda Snell; brothers Scott Sapiel and Gary Snell, grandparents Nick and Mary Sapiel and Jake and Irene Snell; uncle Nick Sapiel, Aunt Hope Powell, and cousin Nick Sapiel Jr. Friends are invited to his residence 41 Bear Ridge Road Indian Island from 4-6PM Friday August 31, 2018. A graveside service will be conducted 10AM Saturday at Tribal Cemetery, Indian Island.
