Obituary of Sharon Filat Filat, Sharon, 72, Seward passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2018. Born February 5, 1946 in Johnstown the daughter of the late Joesph and Eliza (Howlett) Daroczy. Also preceded in death by sister Sue Janakovich and brother-in-law Stanley Gornick. Survived by loving husband of 52 years Albert Filat. Daughters Dawn Mihalko and husband Jeffrey and Trina Aubrey, both of Windber; grandchildren Kayla Smolk and husband Chris, Johnstown; Sarah Penatzer and husband Matt, Johnstown; Nathan Mihalko, Windber; and Tonya Aubrey, Windber; great-grandchildren Arayanna, Sabrina and C.J. Smolk; Aaron Penatzer. Sisters Joann Gornick, Johnstown; Etta Solecki and husband Eddie, Johnstown; Lynn Doll Daroczy, East Straudsburg. Sharon was a loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. She retired from Bestform and Seward Dollar General. She was well known for your excellent sewing and crocheting skills. At Sharon’s request there will be no public viewing or service. Family assisted by Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence.
