Obituary for Sharon Kreul (Hovind) Sharon A. “Sherry” Kreul, 73, of Janesville, Wisconsin, formerly of Benton, died Monday, August 27, 2018, at Boscobel Care and Rehab in Boscobel. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2018, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Benton with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Benton. Friends may also call from 9-10:15 a.m. Friday at the church before the service. Sherry was born on October 30, 1944, in Hazel Green, the daughter of Harold and Elizabeth (Kilcoyne) Hovind. She married Terrance Kreul on September 7, 1963, in Hazel Green. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1978. She later married Edwin Tesmer. Sherry’s hobbies included playing solitaire, watching crime shows, collecting holiday decorations, cooking big holiday meals and caring for her kitties. She most enjoyed being “Mom” to everyone and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Jo (special friend, Jeremy) Jansen, of Osseo, Wisconsin; two sons, Jason John (Sherry) Kreul, of Lakeland, Florida, and David James (Teresa) Kreul, of Prairie du Chien; a sister, Lillian Aurit, of Janesville; a brother, Harold “Bud” Hovind, of Dubuque; eleven grandchildren: and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Darlene Kisting; her brothers, Francis “Frannie”, Father Phillip and James Conlon; a brother-in-law, Norbert Aurit; a grandson, Benjamin David Jansen; and a great-grandson, Jaxson Orlin Thompson. The family would like to thank Care and Rehab of Boscobel and Crossing Rivers Hospice for the care and kindness shown toward Sherry.
