OBITUARY Serafina Cavalieri February 19, 1925 – August 22, 2018 Serafina (Pantano) Cavalieri, 93, of Wethersfield, the beloved wife of the late Sebastiano Cavalieri, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2018. Serafina was born on February 19, 1925 in Canicattini Bagni, Sicily and was the daughter of the late Emmanuele and Lucia (Golino) Pantano. Serafina was the most amazing cook, making all of her delicious meals from scratch, starting with her homemade breads, pastas, pizzas and sauces. She was a hard- working woman with a heart of gold and the proud owner of Lucy’s Bakery and Restaurant in Rocky Hill named in honor of her dear mother. Sera’s passion in life was her family, she was a true matriarch, and always made sure she put family first. She and her husband lived the American dream. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Serafina will be missed by her sons, Paul Cavalieri and his wife Kristina of Wethersfield and Manny Cavalieri and his wife, Halene of Wethersfield. In addition, she leaves her cherished grandchildren, Christine, Jenna and Michael along with her brother Salvatore Pantano and sisters, Mary Matrone and Concetta Salemi, along with many loved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Sebastian Pantano, Sam Pantano, Paul Pantano, sisters, Rosalia Ambrogio, Paulina Migliarti and her beloved grandson Paul E. Cavalieri. Our family would like to thank the entire staff of Maple View Health & Rehabilitation Center for going above and beyond for our Grandmama. Funeral services will be private, there will be no calling hours.
