Sara Ann Shoemaker Ray July 11 1934 August 2 2018 (age 84)

Sara Ann Shoemaker Ray, age 84, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gentry Ray, Jr; son, Doug Ray and daughter, Susan Gilliland. Mrs. Ray is survived by her two daughters, Karan (Buster) Looney and Tammy (Roger) Crossley; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Everyone knew her as “Maw Maw Sara”. While our hearts are breaking, we rejoice knowing her final home is in Heaven. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 am at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Whittaker officiating. A time of visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to McDonald’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
