Obituary for RUTH ANDERSON Ruth Marie Anderson, 85, of N. Horseshoe Lake Dr., Gwinn, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility. Ruth was born June 13, 1933 in Princeton to Urho A. and Taimi E. (Leviska) Oja, graduated from Gwinn High School and was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a housekeeper for over 20 years at the Palmer Nursing Home. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Community Lutheran Church, Suomi Location. Surviving are her husband, Marvin H. Anderson, Sr.; two sons, William (Terri) Wills of Gwinn and Marvin Anderson, Jr. of Minnesota; daughter, Tammy (Frederick ‘Pete’) Peterson of Texas; three grandchildren: BJ Wills, Mindy (Brian) Moyle and David Peterson; two great-grandchildren, Azlyn Wills and Hunter Davis; and a brother, John Oja of Gwinn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harold Wills in 1957; two sons, David and Kenneth Wills; and one brother, Edward ‘Sonny’ Oja. Honoring Ruth’s wishes, private graveside services will be held at the Negaunee Cemetery. Her family extends a special thank you to the staff at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility for their wonderful care over the past years.
