A gathering for family and friends to celebrate the life of Russell will be from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home, Eveleth. Interment will be in Gilbert Cemetery. Russell A. Poola, 79, of Gilbert, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Essentia Health-Virginia. He was born on August 22, 1938 in Gilbert to Aaro and Lillian (Ellison) Poola. Russell worked for the City of Gilbert and had been ton at Gilbert Cemetery. Russell will be remembered for his morning coffee and donut stop at the Holiday Station. He is survived by his sister, Pat Poola and her children; Chris, Diane, Michelle, Russell, Roger and their families; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special cousin, Gerry (Amanda) Nori and their daughter, Bridget. He was preceded in death by his parents.
