Rosemarie “Rosie” M. Waldkirch (nee Greiveldinger) was born to eternal life on the afternoon of Thursday, August 23, 2018. She was 90. Rosie was born in Port Washington on February 6, 1928 to William and Henrietta (nee Reis) Greiveldinger. Rosie attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Port Washington High School in 1945. Rosie married Harold James Becker on April… Read More » 29, 1950 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Together they raised their four children Kris, Brian, Kirk and Renee. In 1970, Rosie went to work for St. Alphonsus Hospital where she worked in the cafeteria until her retirement in 1995. On March 3, 1982 Rosie married Julius P Waldkirch at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. When she was not focusing all her energy on raising her children Rosie enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, bowling, cooking endless tasty meals, travel and in her later years walking workouts. Rosie was a wonderful mother and appreciated the simple things in life. Bottom- line: She loved time spent with her children and grandchildren. She hosted and orchestrated many family gatherings. Rosie was always excited to cheer on her favorite high school, college and pro sports teams. She valued her church participation and was a reader at Divine Savior, St. Rose and Holy Cross chapels for many years. Rosie was a warm, caring lady with a special smile and ability to connect with people. Survivors include her husband, Julius, her children Kris (Jill) Becker, Brian (Kathy) Becker, Kirk (Terri) Becker, Renee (Harold) Denlow; grandchildren, Debra Jo Becker, Samuel Becker, Shannon (Sam) Dolezal, Kelly (Cole) Mathison, Megan (Nate) Evett, Karlee (Josh) Uttermark, Logan Becker, Morgan Denlow & Sydney Denlow; five great grandchildren; Julius’s children, Renae Waldkirch, Julius G. Waldkirch, Jean (Patrick) Weymer; Julius’s grandchildren, Noah Summerville, Julius P. Waldkirch, Bella Weymer, Alex Weymer & Melissa Rader. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her first husband Harold J. Becker; siblings, Marie Federspiel, Elvira Greiveldinger, William Greiveldinger, Harold Greiveldinger and Georgine Gebo; in-laws, Jack Becker, George (Ruth) Becker and Greg Lanser. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Divine Savior Catholic Parish – Holy Cross Chapel (5331 Hwy B, Belgium, WI 53004) with Father Todd Budde presiding. Visitation will be at the CHURCH from 4:00PM until the time of service. Rosie will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Port Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Parkinson Disease Association www.apdaparkinson.org The family would like to extend a special thank you to Home Instead Senior Care and to the staff at Forest Haven Assisted Living.
