Ronald L. Moschioni, Sr., 81, of Stevensville, Michigan passed away peacefully on August 15, 2018 at Pine Ridge Nursing Care Center. A “Celebration of Life” will be held in the late spring of 2019 at Grand Mere State Park, Stevensville, Michigan. Ron was born on January 1, 1937 in Chicago, to Amedeo & Nella (Carmignani) Moschioni. He retired from Gast Manufacturing, and was also a self-employed electrician. Ron was a simple man with a free spirit and a contagious laugh, one that would make you laugh just by hearing his. His practical jokes with and on his brothers became comical stories he shared with others, as well as his quick wit amusing those who journeyed through life with him. Even as his health waned in recent years, he did not skip a beat. He loved jazz, rhythm and blues music, fishing, hunting and restoring old cars. He was a Chicago sports fan. A major highlight for him was to witness his Cubbies clinching the 2016 World Series. In his younger years, he assisted in developing the Lakeshore youth baseball program and loved being the “Coach” to numerous young players for many years. He took great pride and joy in attending all of his grandson’s sporting events. Lastly, his family, his extended family and the gatherings with them were most important to him. He left us all with some of the best memories that will enable us to reflect on and bring a smile to our face for years to come. Ron is survived by his children: Ronald (April) Moschioni Jr., Dina (Thomas) Buckley, Robert Moschioni, Christopher (Debbie) Moschioni; grandchildren, Casey Eric and Brandon Moschioni, Brett and Aaron Buckley. Great grandchildren; Nadia, Natalie and Aidan Bowlby; sister-in-laws; Helene Moschioni, Kathy Moschioni and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Edward, Leo and Alan Moschioni; daughter, Mary Moschioni; granddaughter, Amber Moschioni; and former wife Geraldine (Kopicki) Spears.
