Obituary of Roderick Bennett Roderick “Rod” Leon Bennett, 67 of Bangor, Maine, passed away peacefully at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Saturday morning, August 18, 2018. He was surrounded by a loving presence of family and his closest friends. He was born September 24, 1950, in Augusta, the son of Ottillee P. (Kirby) Bennett and Virgil L Bennett. Rod was survived by three siblings: Phillip A. Bennett and his wife, Caroline, of Canyon, Colorado, Ann P. Bennett-Cookson and her husband, Roger Cookson, of Farmingdale, and Brinna A. Bennett of Sunnyvale, California, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A very special thank you is extended to his closest friend, Charles Dunlop and his wife, Kimmy. Charles was extremely supportive of Rod, especially as Rod’s illness progressed. A graveside service will be conducted 3pm Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the family lot at Sebec Corner Cemetery in Sebec. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
