Robert B Starry 2018

Robert (Bobby) Brydon Starry, 74, passed away on August 19, 2018 at his residence in Orrstown, PA. Born September 30, 1943, in Washington DC, he was the son of the late Joseph L. Starry and Dorothy E. Starry. He graduated from Groveton High School in Alexandria, VA. and enlisted in the US Army serving in Germany for two years. Bobby spent many years in Waynesboro before moving to Orrstown. Bobby was employed by Grove Manufacturing in Shady Grove, PA for several years and spent much of his working life driving trucks for numerous companies. He was an active member of Promise Keepers Men’s Ministry for many years, volunteering much of his time helping others. He was a lifelong Washington Redskin fan. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, playing cards, traveling, and deep-sea fishing. He is survived by one daughter Miranda Starry Muentes of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two sons Matthew E. Starry of Red Lion, PA; Robert W. Starry of Harrisburg, PA; one sister Susan S. Katacinski of GA; and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one son Joseph W. Starry. A private service and burial at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA will be held at the convenience of the family. Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, is handling the arrangements.
