Obituary of Richard Manges MANGES, Richard P. “Dick” Age 62 of Elmira, NY has sailed on to his final resting place. He was born August 25, 1956 in Dayton, OH, son of Richard and Elna Manges. He was predeceased by his wife Sue; father Richard and great niece Ava Leigh Phillips (daughter of Megan). Dick is survived by his daughters Kristen Harris of Myrtle Beach, SC; Shannon (Rob) Smith of Tinley Park, IL with daughters Jasmine Rorie and Halley Smith; Bridgett Kellogg of Pine City; mother Elna Manges of Flagstaff, AZ; sisters Penny Ruedy of Flagstaff, AZ with her children Cory Robinson and Jennifer Robinson and grandchildren Rylie Robinson, Mercy Klever; Hope (David) Morsch of Elmira with their daughters Katy (Rick) Crain and grandsons Domonic Mathews, Kyle Crain and Devin Crain; Megan Phillips and grandchildren Camron Williams, Maddy Phillips. Dick retired February 19, 2018 after 41 years of service as a machinist at Powers Mfg. He had a passion for sailing and loved to share the experience with anyone. He also enjoyed having a drink with family and friends. Family and friends are invited to his memorial service on Monday, August 27th at 7 pm at Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Dick through donations to the American Cancer Society.
