Obituary for Richard Earnest Polk Memorial services for Richard Ernest Polk, 51, of Lufkin will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Richard Ernest Polk was born on June 20, 1967 in Lufkin, Texas to the parentage of Janice Marie and Ernest Polk. Ernest was raised by his grandmother, Ernestine Merle Bradford Anderson. He attended the Lufkin Independent School District and had been employed currently by Timber Rock Railroad in Vicksburg, Mississippi prior, to VSOR Railroad in Silsbee, Texas. He was a member of Triumph Church in Vicksburg, Mississippi. His livelihood included: video games especially Dragon Ball Z and he was an avid video game player. He also loved his job and was very family oriented and spent quality time with them. Ernest second home was at Game Stop where he purchased video games that he enjoyed. He w’ill be greatly missed by his family and friends. On August 19, 2018, life came to a close for Richard Ernest Polk. Survivors: His fiancĂ©, Wendy Jones, Polk of Vicksburg, Mississippi; Son, Teyard Polk of Beaumont, Texas; Sisters, Stephanie R. Wilson, Taresa Coutee Wilson and Rena Alexander (Michael) all of Lufkin, Texas; Nieces, Kirsten Fahy (Anthony); Nephews, Denzel Wilson, Jermaine Alexander, Darrius Williams, Tyrell Williams; A wealth of cousins and other relatives and friends.
