OBITUARY Rene Joseph Marcotte April 28, 1928 – August 4, 2018 Rene Joseph Marcotte April 28, 1928 – August 4, 2018 was born 90 years ago on April 28,1928 to a French father, George Ray Marcotte and an Italian mother Elena (Giovannoni) Marcotte. He passed on August 4, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family. Rene was a Quartermaster Merchant Marines during World War II. In 1946 Rene and his brothers Chuck (twins) and Al went into the grocery business, started investing in real estate in the late 1950’s, and in the early 1960’s started a real estate and construction company. Rene enjoyed traveling the world with his beloved wife, Margaret, (who preceded him in death), golfing, snow skiing, swimming and boating. Rene is survived by his devoted children Catherine Buchanan (Jim), Claudia Pullen, David Marcotte (Kelly), and Michelle Tiernan; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
