Obituary for Paul A. Goodwin Paul A. Goodwin Was called to his Eternal Home on Monday, April 30, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends at his Minooka Home of 27 years. Paul was born on December 28, 1949 to the late Howard and Madeline (nee Agazzi) Goodwin in Joliet, IL. Paul is survived by his dedicated wife of 46 years, Paula (nee Zerebny). Loving and Proud Dad of Jenni (Mike) Jajkowski and Josh (Kara) Goodwin; Grandpa “Buddy” to Colin, Austin and Olivia Jajkowski and Drew and Bryce Goodwin whom he adored. Brother to Mary Iverson and Maureen (Tim) Gedvilas. Uncle to Zak (Jen, Addison) and Jake (Danielle Chaplin, Becka and Jaxson) Iverson, Kelly and Matthew Gedvilas. Fond Honorary Uncle to Kristianna, Kelsey, Kennedy and Blakely Kunz. Paul was a committed employee of Commonwealth Edison for 42 years. After retirement he returned for 2 additional years of service to Meade Electric. Paul enjoyed spending time with family, reading, vacationing, driving his Jeep, euchre, quiet time cutting the grass, target shooting, watching Josh play baseball from Channahon Pinto on up to Minooka Indians and then NIU Huskies and was an avid White Sox and Bears fan. Paul was a member of the Minooka United Methodist Church and most recently attended Parkview Christian Church. Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. Paul was a faithful servant, provider, dedicated family man whom will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers the family wishes to honor Paul’s generosity with donations made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Joliet Area Community Hospice. Visitation will be on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 2:00 PM until Services Begin at 7:00 PM at The Maple Funeral Home located at 24300 W. Ford Rd, Channahon. Pastor Lora Zink officiating.
