Obituary of Norma Dynys Norma R. Dynys, 90, of 75 Elam Avenue, died Saturday August 4, 2018, in UPMC Chautauqua. A native of Buffalo, NY, she was born August 2, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Martha Koteras Bialy. She was a 1948 graduate of Delavan High School. While raising her children she was very involved in the PTA. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, baking and working in the garden. Surviving are four sons Edward Dynys of Jamestown, Joseph (Shelley) Dynys of Upper Burrell, PA, Frederick (Marilyn) Dynys of Chagrin Falls, OH and Steven (Sharon) Dynys of Smethport, PA; ten grandchildren Andrew (Heather) Dynys, Stacey (Terry) Owens, Benjamin (Jennifer) Dynys, Timothy (Suzanna) Dynys, Daniel (Pamela) Dynys and Christopher, Anne, Kimberly, Amber and Tyler Dynys; twenty one great grandchildren; three brothers John, Benjamin and Chester Bialy; two sisters Joyce LaRose and Nancy White and a sister in law Stella Dynys of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Dynys, Jr., whom she married January 22, 1952 and who died October 15, 2012; two sisters Helen Byram and Florence Lee and eight brothers Matthew, Joseph, Louis, Frank, Alfred, Raymond, James and Robert Bialy. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Her grandson, Benjamin Dynys, will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
