Neddy Lee Ned Collins 1947 2018

Obituary of Neddy Collins Neddy Lee Collins, 70, of Springfield, Missouri, died Monday, August 13, 2018, at his residence. Mr. Collins, son of Ted and Viola (Smith) Collins, was born September 24, 1947, in Doniphan, Missouri. He had been a sales representative at a retail company, was an auctioneer and founded Collins and Associates Realty. Ned enjoyed gardening, singing and playing the guitar and doing yard work, especially tending his flowers. He was baptized at Center Hill Baptist Church near Doniphan and was a veteran of the Armed Forces, having served with the U. S. Navy. On November 27, 1982, he was married to Brenda Joy Dees in Harrison, Arkansas, and she survives. Also surviving are 2 children: Kim Newbill of Milan, Tennessee, and Holly (Allan) Dixon of Western Grove, Arkansas; his mother, Viola Collins of Doniphan; 3 sisters, Donna (Don) Phillips of Springfield and Lynda (Harold) Murray and Joanne (Rad) Talburt, both of Doniphan; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter, Patty Collins, and 1 brother, Teddy Collins. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Brother Alan Wilson officiating. A graveside service will take place Friday afternoon, August 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at York Cemetery in North Bergman, Arkansas. Mike Moore will officiate.
