Manchester by the Sea – Mildred Inez (Meadows) Collie 83, beloved wife of the late Addie L. Collie Jr., died Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Born and raised in Halifax, VA, she was the daughter of the late Watkins and Eliza T. (Conner) Meadows. The youngest of seven siblings, Mildred dedicated her life to raising her family. Prior to that she had resided in Centerville, MA on Cape Cod. Surviving her are three daughters, Susan O’Rourke Hyatt and her husband, Charles of Redding, CT, Mary Ellen Barth and her husband, Dr. William H. Barth Jr. of Manchester by the Sea and Lewanne Elwes and her husband, Damian of Santa Monica, CA, nine grandchildren, Trey Barth, Samantha Reppucci, Peter Barth, Conner O’Rourke, Devon O’Rourke, Cosima Elwes, Aubrey Elwes, Ben Collie and Drew Collie, a great grandson, Jack Henry Reppucci and a daughter-in-law, Kerry Collie Watson and her husband, John of Austin, TX. She was also the mother of the late David Collie. Her memorial service will be held at the First Parish Church Congregational, 10 Central Street, Manchester by the Sea, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
