Obituary for Michael Trippodo Michael Trippodo, 95, of Enfield loving husband of the late Josephine Ann (Vella) Trippodo entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, August 24, 2018, at the Suffield by the River with his family by his side. Michael was born August 22, 1923, in Garfield, NJ the son of the late Carmelo and Elizabeth (Ference) Trippodo. Michael proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and prior to enlisting in the service he served with the Civilian Conservation Corps. Michael retired from Kaman Aerospace after several years where he worked as an Offset Printer. He was a proud member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society and cherished time making wine with his son and grandsons. Michael loved sharing the fruits of their labor (Winemaking) with his family and friends at family gatherings. He is survived by three children, Carl Trippodo and his wife, Donna (Lapponese) Trippodo of West Suffield, Gloria Dieni and her husband, George “Vinny” of Feeding Hills, MA and Francene Gogulski of West Suffield; his grandchildren, Eric Gogulski and wife, Sandy of Antinoch, TN, Lisa Gogulski and her fiancé John Markowski of West Suffield, Jason Dieni and wife, Melissa of Richmond, RI, Carli James and husband, Jon of Windsor, CT, Daniel Dieni and wife, Kara of Suffield, Malori Crouch and husband, Joel of Portland, CT Michael Trippodo of West Suffield; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Samantha, Niko, and Layla; his very special longtime friend Rosalie Scavotto of Enfield; a sister, Joan Calandriello of Garfield, NJ, a brother-in-law, Angelo Artale and several nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by a sister, Katherine Artale, a son-in-law, Mitchell Gogulski, and a brother-in-law, Cornelius Calandriello. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Monday, August 27, 2018, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral services for Michael will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery.
