Obituary for Michael Grab Michael J. Grab, 75, of Hummelstown, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018, in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center. Born in Harrisburg on May 26, 1943, Mike was one of 19 children to the late Robert and Mary Mahon Grab. Mike retired as an electrician for the Pennsylvania Power & Light Company; and worked as a Tip Staff at the Dauphin County Court House following his retirement. He graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School, Harrisburg, and Thaddeus Stevens Trade School, Lancaster. Mike had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed sailing, boating, hiking, camping, woodworking, and going to his favorite place on earth, Corson’s Inlet, New Jersey. More than anything, however, Mike loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anna M. Lachat Grab, whom he married in 1966; two daughters, Michelle A. Maloskey of Hershey, and Lisa M. Kase of Elizabethtown; one son, Michael E. Grab of Palmyra; nine grandchildren, Dustin Grab husband of Heather of Ithaca, NY, Megan Maloskey of Philadelphia, Alexander Maloskey of Hershey, Tyler Sandvik of Michigan, Kayleigh Kase and Jensen both of Elizabethtown, and Ella Longenecker, Myka Lechleitner, and Trenton Grab all of Campbelltown; 15 brothers and sisters; and his brother in law, Larry Lachat husband of Sue, and their daughter, Keri Boyle wife of Matt and mother of Kenzi. He was preceded in death by three siblings. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 12 Noon in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 11 AM until time of the services.
