Obituary for Maxine Vondell Lee Beloved mother and grandmother, Vondell Lee, passed away peacefully on August 17th, 2018. Vondell was born on May 2nd, 1924 in Tattnall County, GA (Glenville), and moved to Lake Butler, FL in 1963. Vondell was known fondly for her generosity and warm, caring spirit. Her legendary stubbornness was built from hard times, and her laughter was the sunshine on our rainy days. She would often smile for no reason. The sharpness of her tenacity, nor the curtail of her heart was never without notice. Vondell was preceded in death by her loving husband, Curtis W. Lee, parents James & Annie Belle Sands, daughters Jeanette and Diane, and grandson Cory. She is survived by her two sons, James and Patrick Lee, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
